Mexican stock exchange suspends trading of Grupo Elektra after just one day

MEXICO CITY, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Mexico's main stock

exchange said on Wednesday that it suspended trading of Grupo

Elektra, owned by tycoon Ricardo Salinas, just one day after

reinstating it.

The suspension of retailer Elektra took place

due to "extraordinary fluctuations in the price of the issuer's

securities," the stock said in a statement.
