MEXICO CITY, April 30 (Reuters) - Mexican state energy
company Pemex reported a 43.3 billion peso first-quarter net
loss on Wednesday, according to a filing with the Mexican stock
exchange, dragged by falling sales, rising expenses, foreign
exchange losses and financial costs.
Revenues for one of the country's biggest companies during
the January-to-March period fell 2.5% to 395.59 billion pesos,
mainly due to lower crude oil sales volumes.
During the first quarter, it pumped 1.62 million barrels
per day (bpd) of crude oil and condensate, down 11.3% versus a
year earlier. The company processed 936,000 bpd in its local
refineries, down by 5% compared to the year-ago period.
