Dec 6 (Reuters) - Swiss solar panel maker Meyer Burger's

Executive Chairman Franz Richter said on Friday the

firm's largest customer, U.S.-based DESRI, has a great

long-term interest in non-Chinese-made solar modules, and that

Meyer Burger remains capable of responding to that.

Richter was speaking on a conference call with journalists

after the embattled company secured $40 million in bridge

financing.
