Miata Metals Down 17% as It Releases Assays Results From the Sela Creek Gold Project
Jun 19, 2025 9:50 AM

12:25 PM EDT, 06/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Miata Metals ( MMETF ) shares were last seen down 17% after the company on Thursday released assay results from its Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname.

Results from the ongoing 10,000-meter drill program into the Golden Hand target on the property are showing wide intercepts indicating "a potentially substantial mineralized zone" of gold, the company said.

Best results 24.2 meter of core testing at 0.35 grams per tonne of gold and 50.1 meters testing at 0.3 gpt of gold.

"We believe we are now drilling the centre of the Golden Hand system," said chief executive Jacob Verbaas. "By drill testing Golden Hand, we have identified the structural controls for the widespread gold mineralization at Sela Creek, which has also prepared us well for drilling other high-priority targets such as Puma."

Miata shares were last seen down $0.065 to $0.32 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
