Miata Metals Jumps 57% on Strongest Gold Intercepts to Date at Sela Creek's Jons Trend
Sep 23, 2025 8:47 AM

11:26 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Miata Metals ( MMETF ) , which jumps 57% to $0.48, said Tuesday that results from recent drilling at its Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, have returned the strongest intercepts to date and reinforce the continuity of mineralization at Jons Trend.

One drill hole returned 35.6 metres at 3.04 g/t gold from 69 metres with multiple high-grade sub-intervals, while another returned 36.8 metres of 1.71 g/t gold from 92.7 meters.

Jons Trend is one of four prospects identified and successfully drill-tested to date within the central mineralized corridor at Sela Creek, the company said.

"These intercepts are a breakthrough for Sela Creek, delivering wide and continuous zones of gold mineralization at our Jons Trend target, which hosts the largest artisanal pit at Sela Creek3," said chief executive Jaap Verbaas.

"Hole 25DDH-SEL-033 returned 35.6 m of 3.04 g/t gold, the widest and best-mineralized intercept ever drilled at Sela Creek. With assays pending from six additional holes at Jons Trend, we are confident in this target's ability to continue demonstrating its prospectivity."

Miata Metals ( MMETF ) are up $0.18, to $0.49, on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
