Microchip Technology Expands Partnership With Taiwan Semiconductor to Reduce Supply Disruption

09:52 AM EDT, 04/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microchip Technology ( MCHP ) said Monday that it has expanded its partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company ( TSM ) to include a 40 nanometer manufacturing capacity at Taiwan Semiconductor's manufacturing unit in Japan, Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

Microchip Technology ( MCHP ) said the initiative will help reduce the company's "potential of disrupted supply by offsetting external factors such as frequently changing business conditions and natural disasters."
