Sep 5, 2024 5:29 AM

08:13 AM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microchip Technology ( MCHP ) said late Wednesday that its critical systems are back online, with operations "substantially" restored, following a cybersecurity incident late last month disrupted its servers.

Microchip said in a regulatory filing that it is looking into the "unauthorized" party's claims that it acquired and leaked certain company data online.

Microchip said the hacker most likely obtained employee contact information and some encrypted passwords, but no customer or supplier data.

The full scope and nature of the incident remain unknown, Microchip said, adding that, as of Wednesday, the company saw no material impacts on its financial condition or operating results.
