04:43 PM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Micron Technology's ( MU ) fiscal fourth-quarter results surpassed Wall Street's estimates as the semiconductor maker's cloud memory revenue more than tripled year-on-year.
Adjusted earnings per share jumped to $3.03 during the quarter ended Aug. 28 from $1.18 the year before, compared with the average FactSet analyst estimate of $2.86. Revenue climbed to $11.32 billion from $7.75 billion, surpassing the Street's $11.22 billion view.
Revenue from the cloud memory business soared to $4.54 billion from $1.45 billion, while mobile and client sales rose to $3.76 billion from $3.02 billion. Core data center revenue fell, while the automotive and embedded business saw revenue gains.
Revenue from dynamic random-access memory, or DRAM, which made up 79% of the overall topline, advanced 69% year over year to $8.98 billion. NAND flash memory revenue fell 5% to $2.25 billion. DRAM is memory architecture used by a majority of computers, servers and electronics.
Adjusted earnings are set to come in at $3.75 per share, plus or minus $0.15, for the ongoing quarter. Revenue is pegged at $12.50 billion, plus or minus $300 million. The consensus on FactSet is for non-GAAP EPS of $3.10 and sales of $11.91 billion for the quarter.
Deutsche Bank last week predicted DRAM supply tightness to drive selling price growth and boost gross margins.
"We believe recent fears around (high-bandwidth memory) pricing in 2026 to be overblown, and see (Micron) as particularly well positioned to maintain its HBM market share at still-attractive profitability levels," Deutsche Bank analyst Melissa Weathers said in a note to clients.
