Micron Technology Ordered to Pay Netlist $445 Million in Patent Infringement Case
May 24, 2024 4:12 AM

06:54 AM EDT, 05/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Micron Technology ( MU ) was ordered by a jury to pay $445 million in damages to Netlist in a patent infringement case, a legal document issued Thursday by the District Court in the Eastern District of Texas showed.

The jurors said Micron willfully infringed on two Netlist patents for technology improving the memory and performance of semiconductors, which could allow the judge to triple the damages, Reuters reported.

OTC-listed Netlist won $303.2 million in damages in a similar patent infringement case against Samsung last year, the company said.

Micron and Netlist did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
