Micron to See Positive Impact From Rising Memory Prices, Wedbush Says
Mar 13, 2026 6:22 AM

09:09 AM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Micron Technology ( MU ) is likely to see a positive impact from increasing memory prices that have exceeded the semiconductor maker's expectations, Wedbush Securities said in a Friday client note.

The company's initial outlook for the fiscal second quarter suggested average selling price gains of roughly 30%, with industry pricing in the first three months of 2026 trending "well ahead" of those estimates, according to the brokerage.

Contract pricing for dynamic random-access memory, or DRAM, and NAND flash memory was expected to rise more than 50% in the first quarter of the 2026 calendar year and could approach triple-digit increases in some cases, Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson wrote in the note. The setup for the calendar second quarter seems to be more positive, but will depend partially on where pricing in the first quarter finishes, according to Bryson.

Micron is scheduled to release its fiscal second-quarter results next week.

"We believe pricing over the course of a few quarters (calendar first and second quarters) will lift in the triple-digit range for the industry with Micron eventually realizing the full benefit of the price increase we've encountered," Bryson said.

Wedbush is currently assuming a 40% increase in pricing for Micron's fiscal second quarter and has less clarity around when higher prices will impact the company's income statement and how "aggressive" senior management will be in providing an outlook for the third quarter.

Wedbush maintained its outperform rating on Micron's stock and raised its 12-month price target to $500 from $320.
