Microsoft Allocates $1.5 Billion Strategic Investment in Abu Dhabi's AI Technology Holding Company

04:33 AM EDT, 04/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) will invest $1.5 billion in Abu Dhabi's artificial intelligence technology holding company G42, the companies said Tuesday.

Under the collaboration, G42 will run its artificial intelligence applications and services on Microsoft Azure. The companies will also work together to offer advanced aritificial intelligence and digital infrastructure to countries in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.

Both companies will also allocate $1 billion in a fund to support the development of skills and talents in the field of artificial intelligence, they said.
