08:00 AM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) said Monday that it has launched Microsoft Sovereign Cloud, which it said will ensure that European customer data stays in Europe, under European Law.

The tech giant said in a blog post that the operations and access will be controlled by European personnel with customers fully controlling encryption.

"This is enabled for all customer workloads running in our European datacenter regions requiring no migration," the company said, adding that only Microsoft ( MSFT ) personnel residing in Europe will control remote access.
