08:42 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) is facing a lawsuit filed by Rosneft-backed Nayara Energy for allegedly suspending critical services to the Indian oil refiner, multiple news outlets reported Monday, citing Nayara.

"Microsoft ( MSFT ) is currently restricting Nayara Energy's access to its own data, proprietary tools, and products-despite these being acquired under fully paid-up licenses," Reuters reported, quoting Nayara as saying in a statement.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) and Nayara Energy did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
