12:21 PM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) reported Wednesday an increase in workforce exits by women and certain ethnic groups in fiscal 2024.
In its diversity report, the company said women employee exits, voluntarily or involuntarily, increased to 32.7% in fiscal 2024 from 31% in the previous year, globally.
In the US, exits of Black and African American employees also increased to 10% from 8.7%, while Hispanic and Latinx exits rose to 9.8% from 8%, the company added.
Globally, women hires for the year declined to 34.1% in fiscal 2024 from 35.5% in the preceding year. Asian hires in the US also fell to 30.6% from 39.5%, according to the report.
