Microsoft Terminates 2 Employees Amid 'Serious Breaches' of Company Policies

05:47 AM EDT, 08/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) has terminated two employees, citing "serious breaches" of company policies and code of conduct, a company spokesperson said in a statement e-mailed to MT Newswires Wednesday.

"The first violated the business conduct policy, participated in the unlawful break-in at the executive offices, and other demonstrations on campus," the spokesperson said. "The second was involved in the break-in at the executive offices and was subsequently arrested."

On Tuesday, Microsoft ( MSFT ) President Brad Smith said the company was probing employees who held a protest to draw attention to allegations that the company's Azure cloud software was being used as a tool of indiscriminate surveillance and warfare against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
