07:42 AM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) said Monday it plans to invest 33.7 billion Swedish krona ($3.20 billion) in cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence in Sweden over two years.
The company said the investment, aimed at accelerating AI adoption in Sweden, includes the deployment of 20,000 graphics processing units at its three data centers in the country and training 250,000 Swedes over three years to provide them with AI skills.
Microsoft ( MSFT ) President Brad Smith said in a media interview that other announcements will be issued "probably more in the fall."
