06:29 AM EST, 01/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) is planning to invest about $3 billion in India to expand its artificial intelligence and Azure cloud-computing services, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday, citing Microsoft's ( MSFT ) chief executive officer, Satya Nadella.

The tech giant also plans to train 10 million people in AI in India by 2030, the outlets quoted Nadella as saying at a conference in the Indian city of Bengaluru.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
