08:54 AM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI said Tuesday it formed a board committee to evaluate the safety and security of its AI models.

The new committee will be led by Chief Executive Sam Altman, Chair of the Board Bret Taylor and board directors Adam D'Angelo and Nicole Seligman, OpenAI said.

Over the next three months, the committee will evaluate and develop the company's processes and safeguards for its AI systems.
