03:52 PM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is expanding its ChatGPT Search to all logged-in users on both its mobile app and the website, OpenAI said at an online event Monday.

ChatGPT can now be set as a default search engine in web browsers and OpenAI is also introducing an option that allows users to ask real-time questions verbally and hear the chatbot's spoken responses, the company said.

OpenAI is making a series of product announcements spanning 12 days, with this update revealed on the eighth day of the livestreamed events, it added.
