Microsoft's Azure Cloud Service Hit by DNS Outage

01:29 PM EDT, 10/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft's ( MSFT ) cloud computing service Azure experienced an outage on Wednesday, with customers reporting issues accessing the Azure Portal.

On its Azure status webpage, Microsoft ( MSFT ) cited Domain Name System issues that disrupted availability across several services.

"We have failed the portal away from Azure Front Door to attempt to mitigate the portal access issues," Microsoft ( MSFT ) said.

The outage appears to be affecting other Microsoft ( MSFT ) services, including Microsoft ( MSFT ) 365 and Xbox, The Verge reported.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) shares fell 0.6% in recent Wednesday trading.
