Microsoft's Blizzard Entertainment, NetEase Renew Publishing Agreement to Bring Back Blizzard Titles to China Market

06:33 AM EDT, 04/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft's ( MSFT ) Blizzard Entertainment and Chinese gaming giant NetEase ( NTES ) have renewed a publishing agreement to bring Blizzard titles back to the Chinese market this summer, the companies said late Tuesday.

The renewed publishing agreement will include games that Chinese players had access to under a previous agreement: World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and other titles in the Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, and StarCraft lines.

Blizzard Entertainment is a division of Activision Blizzard, which was acquired by Microsoft ( MSFT ) last year.

Separately, Microsoft's ( MSFT ) video-game division Microsoft Gaming and NetEase ( NTES ) have agreed to explore bringing new titles to Xbox consoles and other platforms, the companies said.
