MicroStrategy Acquires 15,400 Bitcoins for $1.5 Billion

11:44 AM EST, 12/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- MicroStrategy ( MSTR ) said Monday in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission that it acquired about 15,400 bitcoins for $1.5 billion between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1.

The purchase was funded with $1.48 billion raised from the sale of about 3.7 million shares during the same period, the company said.

As of Dec. 1, MicroStrategy ( MSTR ) owned roughly 402,100 bitcoins, according to the filing.
