09:18 AM EDT, 09/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Midland Exploration ( MIDLF ) said Tuesday it discovered a gold-zinc-silver mineralized system at its Caniapisc project in James Bay, Canada.

The company said rock sampling results yielded eight samples with gold values above 1 gram per tonne (g/t) and five samples with zinc values above 1%. Results from 318 soil samples included six values greater than 100 parts per billion (ppb) gold.

"The very strongly similar alteration assemblages associated with Au-Zn-Mn and Cu-Mo signatures suggest they may represent the same mineralization system," Midland said.

Midland also acquired 201 new claims by map designation along the periphery of the property.

The company said it plans a 10-day exploration program in the coming weeks.

Midland shares gained 6.4% Tuesday to near a 52-week high of CA$0.50 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
