05:50 PM EST, 11/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Milestone Scientific ( MLSS ) said Thursday that Chief Executive Arjan Haverhals will retire on Dec. 31.

Chairman of the board Neal Goldman was appointed as interim CEO, effective Haverhals' retirement, according to the company.

The company said Haverhals will remain as a director of the board.

Milestone Scientific ( MLSS ) said that it is in the process of retaining an executive search firm to pick a permanent CEO.

Shares of the company were up 2.7% in recent after-hours activity.
