12:24 PM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Milestone Scientific ( MLSS ) said Tuesday that it has received approval from Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency to market and sell the CompuFlo epidural system in the country.

The approval covers the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical-thoracic junction of the spine, the company added.

The system uses the company's dynamic pressure sensing technology that ensures precise placement and verification of the epidural needle to reduce the risk of complications from epidural anesthesia procedures, the company said.

Shares of Milestone Scientific ( MLSS ) were about 4% down in recent trading activity.
