10:48 AM EST, 12/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- MiMedx ( MDXG ) said Tuesday it has filed a lawsuit in the US District Court of Arizona against Surgenex, claiming several of Surgenex's placental products violate the company's patents.

This is MiMedx's ( MDXG ) second complaint against Surgenex, following an earlier ongoing case that accused Surgenex of unfair competition and harming MiMedx's ( MDXG ) business, the company said.

MiMedx ( MDXG ) expects to find more products that infringe their patents as more skin substitutes appear on the market, it added.

Surgenex did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
