10:36 AM EDT, 10/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- MKS Instruments ( MKSI ) said Thursday it has started construction on a new super center factory in Penang, Malaysia, to meet increasing semiconductor equipment demands.
The 500,000-square-foot facility will be built on a 17-acre site and is expected to employ around 1,000 people, MKS Instruments ( MKSI ). The project will be developed in phases, with the first phase set to complete by H1 2026.
