03:37 AM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Moderna ( MRNA ) said Monday the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration has approved a new version of its COVID-19 mRNA vaccine Spikevax, which targets the JN.1 variant.

The immunization has been approved for individuals six months or older, the company said.

Moderna ( MRNA ) has other applications for the updated vaccine pending with regulatory agencies, it said.
