Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $1.93.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $1.86 billion, up from $1.83 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.25 billion.

The company's shares were up 10% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
