03:58 AM EDT, 06/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moderna ( MRNA ) and the University of Oxford have received authorization from the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to begin a phase 1/2 study of mRNA-4194, an investigational cancer vaccine for people with lynch syndrome, according to a Monday statement.
Lynch syndrome is an inherited condition that results in high predisposition to cancer.
The study, funded by Moderna ( MRNA ), will be run by the Oxford's Oncology Clinical Trials Office and its cancer center, the organizations said.
A second phase will increase enrollment to multiple UK locations and is expected to begin in 2027, the organizations said.
