12:22 PM EDT, 06/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Moelis & Co. ( MC ) said Monday it is looking into allegations that one of its managing directors punched a woman in the face at a Pride event over the weekend in Brooklyn.

The alleged incident on Saturday evening was caught on video and circulated online, according to media reports.

"We have become aware that one of our employees was involved in a serious incident in Brooklyn on June 8. We take this matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation," Moelis ( MC ) said late Sunday on X.

The company did not identify the employee nor say if it was referring to the video. The man in the video was identified as one of the firm's managing directors, Bloomberg reported, citing an online post.

According to the Daily Beast, a New York Police Department spokesperson said the department is aware of the video but it doesn't have any complaints on file.

Moelis ( MC ) did not immediately respond to a request for further comment by MT Newswires.
