Molina Healthcare Wins Illinois Medicaid Managed Care Contract

04:41 PM EDT, 06/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Molina Healthcare ( MOH ) said Wednesday the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services intends to award its Illinois health plan subsidiary a contract under the HealthChoice Illinois Medicaid Managed Care program.

The contract is expected to begin Jan. 1, 2027, and run for four-and-a-half years, with options for extensions of up to five-and-a-half additional years.

Molina Healthcare of Illinois will be one of six health plans providing coverage to about 3.1 million Medicaid beneficiaries in the state.
