01:58 PM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mondelez International ( MDLZ ) shares were up almost 4% in recent trading Wednesday after the company's finance chief hinted at upbeat Q3 results speaking at a conference.

Mondelez's ( MDLZ ) Luca Zaramella said at Barclays conference that the company discontinued some of its products and is confident about H2.

"I think you will be pleased with the numbers you're going to see in Q3. So, we feel quite good," Zaramella said, according to the event's transcript available on S&P Capital IQ.

Daily trading volume stood at 5.5 million shares against the daily average of 6.3 million shares.
