Mondelez International Sues Aldi Over Alleged Trade Dress Infringement

12:31 PM EDT, 05/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Mondelez International ( MDLZ ) has filed a lawsuit against Aldi, claiming the supermarket chain sells products in "packaging that infringes the trade dress of numerous Mondelez ( MDLZ ) products."

In its complaint filed in federal court earlier this week, Mondelez ( MDLZ ) alleged that Aldi's packaging is "likely to deceive and confuse customers" and could negatively impact the business and its brands.

Mondelez ( MDLZ ) is seeking monetary damages and a court order preventing Aldi from selling products infringing on its trademarks.

Aldi didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
