Mondelez Recalls Some RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches
Jul 8, 2025 9:59 AM

12:25 PM EDT, 07/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Mondelez International ( MDLZ ) said Tuesday it has issued a voluntary recall for some RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches sold in US due to incorrectly labeled individual packs that may contain peanut butter, posing a risk to people with peanut allergies.

The recall affects specific 8-pack, 20-pack, and 40-pack cartons of RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches, along with 20-pack RITZ Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Pack cartons, with Best When Used By Dates between Nov. 1, 2025, and Jan. 22, 2026, and specific plant codes, the company said.

Mondelez ( MDLZ ) said all outer cartons were labeled correctly, but these may contain individually wrapped packs marked as cheese even though these may contain peanut butter.

The company said it initiated the recall with the knowledge of the US Food and Drug Administration after discovering supplier defects in packaging film.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported, and no other RITZ or Mondelez ( MDLZ ) products are affected, the company added.
