MongoDB Appoints Chirantan Desai as Chief Executive

08:52 AM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- MongoDB ( MDB ) said Monday its board has named Chirantan Desai as president and chief executive officer, effective Nov. 10.

The company said Desai succeeds Dev Ittycheria, who is retiring from his full-time role after 11 years leading the company.

Ittycheria will remain on the board and serve as an advisor to support the leadership transition, the company said.

It added that Desai previously served as president of product and engineering at Cloudflare.
