11:21 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MongoDB ( MDB ) is expected to see continued Atlas growth when it reports fiscal Q2 results, with investor focus on AI-native customer traction, Atlas growth, go-to-market changes under Chief Executive CJ Desai and adoption of newer AI products, RBC Capital Markets said in an earnings preview.

The company is scheduled to report its Q2 results after market close Tuesday.

The investment firm said in a Wednesday note that its checks and alternative data support continued expansion of MongoDB's ( MDB ) AI-native customer base, while concerns over PostgreSQL competition have eased as much of its usage appears focused on modernizing existing MySQL and Oracle applications rather than taking share from MongoDB ( MDB ).

For the quarter, RBC expects consensus revenue of $735.2 million, up 24% year over year, and Atlas revenue of $550.8 million, up 26%. It views revenue of $770.3 million and Atlas revenue of $567.7 million, both up 30% year over year, as a "good outcome."

For fiscal 2027, the investment firm expects consensus revenue of $2.97 billion, up 20%, and an operating margin of 20%. The firm views reiterating guidance in line with consensus, with a bias toward upward revisions during the year, as a "good outcome."

RBC maintained its outperform rating on the stock and raised its price target to $515 from $395.

MongoDB ( MDB ) shares were up 5% in Thursday trading.
