Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs to match $1,000 contributions to Trump accounts opened for employees' children

NEW YORK, July 2 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley ( MS ) and Goldman Sachs ( GS ) announced on Thursday they are matching $1,000 contributions to Trump accounts opened for their eligible employees' children.

The program is set to launch on July 4 and will contemplate children born in the U.S. from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2028.

In the memo, Morgan Stanley ( MS ) said its contribution "reflects our belief in the power of long-term saving and financial education".

Goldman Sachs ( GS ) also announced the match for its employees on Thursday. "Starting early and staying invested for the long term is one of the most reliable ways American families build lasting financial security," said CEO David Solomon in a statement.
