05:11 AM EST, 11/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Motorola Solutions ( MSI ) said Tuesday it has secured a seven-year contract with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to build and maintain a cloud-hosted command-and-control system connecting 356 fire stations in Scotland.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The contract includes an option for. three-year renewal, Motorola said.

The system is meant to "improve country-wide collaboration and speed emergency response times" in case of fires, roadway accidents, and flooding, the company said.
