03:41 AM EDT, 07/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Motorola Solutions ( MSI ) said Sunday it is opening a new software research and development center in the Irish city of Cork.

The company said the facility will be focused primarily on designing systems for the company's land mobile radio tools, with plans for other projects.

The facility is expected to generate 200 new jobs and is backed by Ireland's government, the company said.
