NEW YORK, June 17 (Reuters) - Bank of America's ( BAC ) private
bank hired executives from JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) and Citigroup ( C/PN ) in an
effort to grow in New York, its largest market, according to
memo seen by Reuters.
BofA added Mary Chan, a former regional managing director at
JPMorgan's ( JPM ) private bank who oversaw its integration of First
Republic. It also hired Chris Petro, who joined from Citigroup ( C/PN ),
where he led its metro New York region.
Both executives will report to Emily Dreas, a senior market
executive at BofA's private bank.
Chan and Petro will join Jeremy Sunshine, another executive
hired from JPMorgan ( JPM ) last fall.
Bank of America's ( BAC ) private bank had $671 billion in client
balances in the first quarter and brought in almost $1 billion
in revenue.
