India had long been the world’s only source of diamonds, with the discovery of the gem in South Africa in 1896 changing that for the first time. The SBI Ecowrap report found that diamonds are India’s biggest export items. Closely followed by diesel.

The World Bank, which assesses different 200 economies in terms of ease of doing business, has a parameter on resolving insolvency. In terms of that parameter, India's rank has improved from 136 to 52 in the past three years of its implementation, the next two years do not have data, last year World Bank did not come up with the data and this year it is expected in October.

A survey conducted by BCG covering close to 9,000 people between June to December of 2020 shows that the first year of employment is critical for LGBTQ plus employees. It also showed that more respondents tended to work for companies that had advanced LGBTQ plus policies.
