05:26 PM EDT, 05/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- MPLX LP ( MPLX ) said late Monday that Maryann Mannen, president of Marathon Petroleum ( MPC ) , will take over as the chief executive officer and president of MPLX GP, the general partner of MPLX ( MPLX ), effective Aug. 1.

Mannen, 61, will succeed Michael Hennigan, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Hennigan will assume the role of executive chairman of MPLX GP. Mannen has served as a member of the board since February 2021.
