Mullen Automotive Files for Foreign Trade Zone Status for Mississippi Plant

11:23 AM EDT, 04/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mullen Automotive ( MULN ) said Monday it filed for foreign trade zone status last week with the US Department of Commerce for its plant in Tunica, Mississippi.

The company said it anticipates final determination in 30 to 90 days.

If approved, Mullen said it would qualify for benefits including deferment of payments related to duties owed to import fees.

Shares of the company were down 6.1% in recent Monday trading.
