05:38 PM EST, 01/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Murphy Oil ( MUR ) said late Tuesday that its unit drilled an oil discovery at the Hai Su Vang-1X exploration well in the Cuu Long Basin offshore Vietnam.

The company encountered about 370 feet of net oil pay from two reservoirs and said that additional evaluation is ongoing.

Murphy Oil ( MUR ) shares were up about 1.6% in after-hours activity.
