Aug 28, 2024 9:11 PM

04:41 PM EDT, 08/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nanalysis Scientific ( NSCIF ) on Wednesday said its second-quarter loss narrowed on a 65% rise in revenue that came on the strength of medical imaging equipment sales.

The medical-imaging manufactures said it lost $2.0 million in the quarter, compared with a loss of $4.05 million in the year-prior quarter.

Revenue rose to $11.47 million from $6.96 million.

"We continue to see strength in both of our core business segments, benchtop NMR and security services," said chief executive Sean Krakiwsky. "In addition, this quarter we had the added contribution of sizeable medical imaging hardware sales resulting in another record revenue quarter."

The company's shares closed up $0.005 to $0.40 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
