04:30 AM EDT, 09/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nasdaq (NDAQ) disclosed early Thursday that BYMA, an Argentinian stock exchange group, has decided to base its entire post-trade ecosystem on the US bourse's technology, a "significant" expansion of their partnership.
The move will support BYMA's shift to a model where cash and security settlement occurs at the central securities depository after netting has taken place at the clearing house, the Nasdaq said.
The decision seeks to "integrate the whole trading life cycle with a system," in line with standards in most developed markets, BYMA Chairman Ernesto Allaria said.
Nasdaq didn't disclose the deal's financial details.
