09:14 AM EDT, 10/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Natera ( NTRA ) said Friday that it will expand its Fetal Focus noninvasive prenatal testing tool to include 20 genes, up from five previously.

The expanded testing panel will launch in Q4, the company said.

The testing tool relies on simple blood tests from the pregnant mother to detect difficult to identify homozygous genes in which a fetus inherits two copies of the same mutation from both parents and risks developing severe diseases, the company said.
