National Beef suspends production at Kansas plant after fire

CHICAGO, March 21 (Reuters) - National Beef Packing

Company, one of four major U.S. beef processors, said it

suspended production at its Liberal, Kansas, plant on Thursday

after a fire.

The company said it is working to assess damage from the

fire that broke out in a loading dock area on Wednesday night

and to prepare to restart production.
