National Vision Shares Fall After Reporting Q2 Results, Lowering 2024 Guidance

10:32 AM EDT, 08/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- National Vision Holdings ( EYE ) shares were down more than 11% in recent Wednesday trading after the company reported Q2 adjusted earnings of $0.15 per diluted share, up from $0.12 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.09.

Net revenue for the quarter ended June 29 was $451.7 million, up from $431.8 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $451.4 million.

The company said it now expects full-year 2024 adjusted EPS of $0.45 to $0.50 on revenue of $1.82 billion to $1.84 billion, compared with prior adjusted EPS guidance of $0.50 to $0.65 on revenue of $1.83 billion to $1.87 billion. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect EPS of $0.45 on revenue of $1.86 billion.
